I’m a writer from the Chicagoland area. I worked as a daily newspaper columnist for about ten years, which was, hands down, my favorite job ever. Sadly, daily papers are few and far between now, so I get my fix on the bloggity-blog.
In addition to blogging, I mostly write short stories, though I have a couple of completed novels waiting for me to dust 'em off and shine 'em up. Six of my shorts won competitions in 2010 and are slated for publication in three separate upcoming multi-authored anthologies. I'm still working on the book of short stories that will be mine, all mine. ;O)
When I’m not reading or writing, you’ll likely find me swimming or spoiling the daylights out of my grandkids. My hubby and I have been happily married since we weren’t much more than kids ourselves, and our children are all grown, married, and making babies of their own now, which makes us ridiculously happy. Life is good.
